How we compare the color

What is blend painting?
Blending includes an adjacent area in the color transition. Whether this is appropriate is assessed on the vehicle. Ask which surfaces are included before commissioning the work: the damaged area and the planned painting area may differ.
Is blending always necessary?
There is no single answer for every repair. Ask why an adjacent area needs to be included or why a localized repair is sufficient. A paint code alone does not establish the scope.
Questions for your quote
Ask which panels will be repaired and which will be blended, what preparation and disassembly are included, how the color will be compared with the vehicle and how the finish will be inspected. Compare the scope rather than relying on the term color matching alone.
